Georges Péclet
**Georges Péclet (1897-1974)** was a French actor with a significant career in both silent and sound cinema.
He is particularly remembered for his intense portrayal of Scipion in Abel Gance's silent masterpiece *Napoléon* (1927), where his physicality and stage presence left their mark. He also appeared in another silent classic, René Clair's *Un chapeau de paille d'Italie* (1928).
In the sound era, his presence made him a familiar face in notable films such as Raymond Bernard's *Les Misérables* (1934), where he played Courfeyrac, and *Le Grand Jeu* (1934). Péclet was often cast in character roles: energetic figures, sometimes authoritarian, men of action, or characters with strong personalities. In addition to acting, he also directed several films.
