Géza Morcsányi
**Géza Morcsányi** (Budapest, 1952) is a Hungarian editor, writer, and occasional actor.
He is primarily known for his performance in Ildikó Enyedi's film *On Body and Soul* (*Testről és lélekről*, 2017). The film, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, marks his cinematic debut in a leading role.
In the film, Morcsányi portrays Endre, the director of a slaughterhouse, an introverted and melancholic character. His acting is characterized by a subtle and measured expressiveness, conveying emotional depth through restrained gestures and intense gazes. Not being a professional actor, his authentic and natural approach contributed significantly to the success of both the performance and the film.
His role in *On Body and Soul* remains the milestone of his limited but significant film career.
