**Giuliano Gemma (Rome, 1938 – Civitavecchia, 2013) was an Italian actor, an icon of genre cinema.**
His film career began as a stuntman, before he quickly established himself as a leading man in Spaghetti Westerns. He was renowned for his charismatic face, physical prowess, and his ability to portray courageous and often solitary heroes, quick-witted but with a heart of gold.
Success came with films such as *A Pistol for Ringo* (1965) and *The Return of Ringo* (1965), where he created his most iconic character. Other significant titles include *Arizona Colt* (1966), *Tex and the Lord of the Deep* (1985), and numerous adventure films.
