
Harve Presnell
**Harve Presnell (1933-2009)** was an American actor and singer. Born a lyric baritone and Broadway star, he found cinematic success primarily later in his career.
With a deep voice and an imposing presence, he excelled in authoritative roles, often portraying wealthy, powerful men or those of high military rank. Among his most memorable roles are Wade Gustafson, the wealthy father-in-law in the Coen Brothers' *Fargo* (1996), General George C. Marshall in Steven Spielberg's *Saving Private Ryan* (1998), Mitch McDeere's father in *The Firm* (1993), and Victor Lazarro in *Face/Off* (1997). His film career was characterized by characters of great gravitas and influence.
