
Ilayda Akdogan
**Ilayda Akdogan** (Istanbul, July 21, 1998) is a Turkish actress.
She rose to international prominence thanks to her role as Lale in the drama film Mustang (2015) directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven. The film, critically acclaimed and nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, tells the story of five orphaned sisters' struggle for freedom in a traditional and restrictive environment. In her role as Lale, the youngest of the protagonists, Akdogan was able to intensely express the character's vitality, innocence, and growing rebellion.
Her film career is often characterized by her portrayal of young, energetic female characters seeking autonomy, capable of facing complex challenges with determination and an independent spirit. Although Mustang remains her most iconic role, Akdogan continues to work in Turkish film and television productions.
