Inge Landgut
**Inge Landgut (1922-1986)** was a German actress, renowned for her early career as a child actress in silent films and early sound films.
Her most iconic and unforgettable role was that of Elsie Beckmann, the young victim in Fritz Lang's expressionist masterpiece, *M - Il mostro di Düsseldorf* (1931). Landgut excelled at portraying innocent child characters, often vulnerable and tragically involved in dramatic situations, defining an archetype in German cinema of that era.
She appeared in several other films in the 1930s, including *Scampolo* (1932) and *Einmal eine große Dame sein* (1934). Although her primary film activity focused on her childhood, she continued her career as an actress and prolific voice actress into adulthood.
