**Jack Haley (1898-1979)** was an American actor and dancer, universally known for his iconic portrayal of the Tin Man in the classic *The Wizard of Oz* (1939).

His film career flourished primarily in the 1930s and 1940s, where he excelled in numerous musical comedies. Haley was praised for his singing and dancing talent, and for his unmistakable comedic style.
