Jack Kao (高捷, pinyin: Gāo Jié) is a Taiwanese actor widely recognized for his profound collaborations with internationally renowned directors such as Hou Hsiao-Hsien and Tsai Ming-liang.

His career is closely linked to Hou's work, starring in masterpieces such as *A City of Sadness* (1989), winner of the Golden Lion at Venice, and *The Puppetmaster* (1993). With Tsai Ming-liang, he left his mark in seminal films such as *Rebels of the Neon God* (1992) and *Vive L'Amour* (1994).
