Jacques Perrin
**Jacques Perrin** (Paris, July 13, 1941 – Paris, April 21, 2022) was a French actor and film producer.
His career, which began early, saw him portray roles often characterized by profound sensitivity and introspection. He achieved international renown with films such as *Le Demoiselles de Rochefort* (1967), where he displayed lightness and grace. This was followed by Costa Gavras's *Z - L'orgia del potere* (1969), which saw him in a political and committed role. And, of course, Giuseppe Tornatore's *Nuovo Cinema Paradiso* (1988), in which he played the iconic adult Salvatore.
Perrin was known for his ability to embody complex characters, often with a touch of melancholy or silent determination. In later years, he also distinguished himself as a successful producer, especially in the field of nature documentaries.
