**Jean Willes** (1923-1989) was an American actress active primarily in the 1940s and 1950s. Known as a character actress, she distinguished herself in numerous B-movies, film noirs, and Westerns.

Her slender physique and blonde hair made her perfect for roles as tough, unprincipled women or secondary "femme fatales." Her most memorable appearances include those in film noir classics such as *Kansas City Confidential* (1952) and *A Kiss Before Dying* (1956), where she often played the gangster's moll or the troubled lover.

She also appeared in the sci-fi cult classic *Invasion of the Body Snatchers* (1956). Willes often portrayed "bad girls," saloon girls, or prostitutes, contributing with her incisive presence to many crime dramas and Westerns of the era. Despite rarely starring, her reliability and distinctive mark made her a recognizable figure in genre cinema.
