John Howard
**John Howard (1913-1995)** was an American actor, primarily active between the 1930s and 1940s. He established himself as a leading man, often portraying charming, reliable, and well-bred characters.
He is remembered for his role as Bulldog Drummond in several films and for his significant appearances in masterpieces. Among these are Frank Capra's *Lost Horizon* (1937), where he played Ronald Colman's brother, and *The Philadelphia Story* (1940), as Katharine Hepburn's naive fiancé. Other notable films include the comedy *The Invisible Woman* (1940). His film career slowed down after the war, and he focused more on television.
