**Josiane Balasko** (born Balasković, 1950) is a French actress, director, and screenwriter of Croatian descent. Recognized for her unique style and versatility, she began her career with the Le Splendid theater troupe in the 1970s, which launched her into cinema with cult comedies such as *Le Père Noël est une ordure* (1982), where she defined her humor.
