Kong Chu
Kong Chu (孔 chu) was a prominent actress active primarily in the 1960s, renowned for her work with Shaw Brothers Studio. She is best remembered for her roles in wuxia films, where she often portrayed martial heroines.
Among her most iconic works are *Come Drink with Me* (1966), where her portrayal of Golden Swallow made her a star, *Golden Swallow* (1968), and *The Flying Dagger* (1969).
Her style was characterized by an intense screen presence and innate grace, which allowed her to portray complex female characters: often strong, determined yet vulnerable women who fought with skill and dignity. Kong Chu is considered an icon of Hong Kong cinema of that era.
