**Krystyna Janda** (Warsaw, 1952) is a Polish actress, an icon of her country's cinema, celebrated for the depth and intensity of her performances. Her career is inextricably linked to Andrzej Wajda, with whom she achieved international fame playing the audacious journalist Agnieszka in *Man of Marble* (Człowiek z marmuru, 1977) and *Man of Iron* (Człowiek z żelaza, 1981).
