Lee Remick (1935-1991) was an American actress, known for her elegance and profound versatility. Her film career took off rapidly, debuting in Elia Kazan's *A Face in the Crowd* (1957). She then established herself with complex roles in films such as Otto Preminger's *Anatomy of a Murder* (1959).

Her most celebrated and acclaimed role was that of Kirsten Arnesen Clay, the alcoholic wife in *Days of Wine and Roses* (1962), for which she earned an Academy Award nomination. Remick was masterful at portraying fragile women who possessed remarkable inner strength, intelligence, and the ability to show authentic vulnerability. She also demonstrated her acting range in the horror thriller *The Omen* (1976). Her screen presence combined grace, dramatic intensity, and the ability to bring complexity to every character.
