Lelio Luttazzi
**Lelio Luttazzi** (Trieste, 1923 – Milan, 2010), a renowned musician, composer, and presenter, also cultivated a significant acting career in Italian cinema. Active mainly between the 1950s and 1970s, he distinguished himself as a characteristic face of *commedia all'italiana* (Italian-style comedy).
With his innate elegance, a distinguished air, and subtle irony, Luttazzi often played sophisticated characters, bourgeois types, or professionals, imparting to his roles a touch of refined detachment. He was not a leading actor in the classic sense, but a "caratterista" (character actor) capable of enriching the scene with his mere presence.
Among his most memorable roles are Engineer Bisiacchi in Dino Risi's *L'ombrellone* (1965), the segment "Il frigorifero" (The Refrigerator) in Mario Monicelli's *Le coppie* (1970), and Lawyer Filiberto in Alberto Lattuada's *Venga a prendere il caffè da noi* (1970). His understated charisma and his unmistakable mustachioed figure made him an iconic face of Italian cinema of his time.
