**Marceline Day (1908-2000)** was an American actress renowned for her career in silent film. She began with roles in comedies, often playing the innocent, sweet, and sometimes vulnerable young woman, a typical "ingenue" of the era.

Among her most notable works is *The Cameraman* (1928), a silent comedy classic where she starred alongside Buster Keaton, displaying natural grace and excellent chemistry with the actor. She also distinguished herself in dramatic and horror roles, such as in *London After Midnight* (1927) with Lon Chaney, where she demonstrated versatility.
