
Marge Champion
**Marge Champion (1919-2020)** was an American dancer and actress. Her film career began early as a reference model for Disney animation, inspiring iconic characters such as Snow White (1937) and the Blue Fairy in *Pinocchio* (1940).
In the 1950s, she achieved fame as half of the celebrated dance duo Marge and Gower Champion, her husband. Together, they starred in numerous MGM musicals, distinguishing themselves with an elegant, athletic, and joyful style. Their most important films include *Show Boat* (1951), *Lovely to Look At* (1952), and *Give a Girl a Break* (1953).
Champion was admired for her grace, energy, and her portrayal of charming, vivacious young women. She left a significant mark on the golden age of the Hollywood musical.
