Merab Ninidze (born in 1965) is an internationally recognized Georgian actor. His film career is characterized by complex roles, often in international settings, facilitated by his mastery of several languages.

He gained worldwide recognition with the German film *Nowhere in Africa* (2001), winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Among his most significant performances are the acclaimed *Tangerines* (2013) – an Academy Award nominee – and Steven Spielberg's thriller *Bridge of Spies* (2015). Ninidze is appreciated for his ability to embody multifaceted characters, ranging from heroes to morally ambiguous individuals, with an intense yet measured stage presence. He has also solidified his reputation with prominent roles in television productions such as the British series *McMafia* (2018).
