Michael J. Pollard (1939-2019) was an American actor, known for his roles as eccentric characters and individuals on the fringes of society.

He is best known for his intense portrayal of C.W. Moss in *Bonnie and Clyde* (1967), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He further cemented his fame with films such as *Little Fauss and Big Halsy* (1970) and *Dirty Little Billy* (1972).

His diminutive physique and piercing gaze made him distinctive; he often played antiheroes, maladjusted youths, or figures with a peculiar blend of naiveté and unease. He continued to work regularly in supporting roles, including *Scrooged* (1988) and *Dick Tracy* (1990).
