**Mihály Víg** (Budapest, 1957) is a Hungarian composer and musician, also known for his significant acting career, almost exclusively linked to the work of director Béla Tarr. Víg not only composed the evocative soundtracks for Tarr's films, but also played key roles that shaped Tarr's cinematic landscape.

His presence is iconic in masterpieces such as *Satantango* (1994), where he embodies Irimiás, an enigmatic and charismatic figure, and in *Werckmeister Harmonies* (2000), as the sensitive György. He also appeared in *The Man from London* (2007) and *The Turin Horse* (2011).

His acting style is characterized by a subtle melancholy, a quiet dignity, and an almost ethereal presence. Víg often embodies solitary, contemplative, or disillusioned characters, whose face, often captured in meditative close-ups, has become a visual symbol of Tarr's cinema, contributing to its unique atmosphere.
