Nando Bruno (Rome, October 6, 1907 – Rome, June 11, 1959) was an Italian actor, among the most recognizable faces of post-war cinema. A prolific character actor, he established himself through his good-natured yet gruff appearance and his ability to authentically embody the common Roman man, often boisterous but good-hearted.

His film career took off during Neorealism, participating in masterpieces such as Rossellini's *Rome, Open City* (1945), albeit in a minor role. He rose to prominence in supporting roles alongside great comedians. His portrayal of Brigadier Bottoni in Monicelli and Steno's *Cops and Robbers* (1951), where he starred alongside Totò, was unforgettable. Other significant appearances include *An American in Rome* (1954) with Sordi and popular comedies like *Poor but Beautiful* (1957). Bruno is remembered as one of the masters of character roles, capable of giving human depth even to the simplest characters, making them memorable.
