**Nane Germon** (1907-2001) was a French actress, celebrated for her prolific film career, which saw her play numerous secondary but memorable roles. Specializing in middle-aged or elderly female characters, often working-class women, mothers, housekeepers, or neighbors, her restrained and authentic presence lent depth and dignity even to small parts.

Her most significant appearances include French cinema classics: *Le Corbeau* (1943) by Henri-Georges Clouzot, *Les Enfants du Paradis* (1945) by Marcel Carné, and the role of the grocer's wife in *Jour de Fête* (1949) by Jacques Tati. She worked with great directors, leaving a distinctive mark thanks to her ability to make ordinary characters human and believable, often symbols of French everyday life.
