Noah Young
Noah Young (1880-1958) was an American film actor, active primarily during the silent film era.
Known for his comedic performances, often alongside stars like Harold Lloyd. With his imposing stature and robust build, Young specialized in "heavy" roles: authoritative figures, menacing bullies, or rivals, who were often humiliated or outsmarted by the smaller, more agile hero.
Among his most memorable roles were the policeman in *Safety Last!* (1923), the football coach in *The Freshman* (1925), and the antagonist in *The Kid Brother* (1927). His screen presence contributed to defining the comedic counterpoint in many of the most celebrated slapstick comedies of his time. Although his career continued into the sound era with minor roles, it was in silent film that he left an indelible mark.
