Philip Terry
**Philip Terry (1909-1990)** was an American film actor, primarily active between the 1930s and 1950s. Although he never achieved major star status, he distinguished himself in numerous leading and supporting roles, often portraying honest, serious characters or those grappling with difficult situations.
He is perhaps best known for his leading role in Val Lewton's horror thriller *The Leopard Man* (1943), where he delivered an intense and tormented performance. Among his other significant works are *Crossroads* (1942), *Monsieur Beaucaire* (1946), and the film noir *Born to Kill* (1947).
Terry demonstrated solid versatility, ranging from drama to comedy and the thriller genre, while often remaining in reliable supporting roles that helped define morality or normalcy in often dark or complex stories.
