**Pinaki Sengupta** was an Indian actor, known for his early career in Bengali cinema, primarily active in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

He is most notably celebrated for his collaborations with the master Satyajit Ray. His most iconic role was that of Goopy (Goupy) in **Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne** (1969), a beloved musical fantasy, where he portrayed the hapless but good-hearted storyteller. He also starred in **Aranyer Din Ratri** (1970), playing Haren, one of four urban friends vacationing in the forest.

Sengupta was appreciated for his natural acting and his ability to embody characters who were often naive, honest, or dreamy, helping to bring depth and realism to his roles despite his young age. After his brief but significant film career, he pursued a medical profession.
