Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino (born in 1963) is an influential American film director, screenwriter, and producer, also known for his occasional appearances as an actor.
His career exploded with his debut, *Reservoir Dogs* (1992), but he achieved global fame with the masterpiece *Pulp Fiction* (1994), winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes and an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
His style is immediately recognizable: non-linear narrative, brilliant and often eccentric dialogues, stylized violence, a distinctive use of soundtracks, and strong homages to genre cinema (Westerns, Blaxploitation, kung fu).
Among his other successful films are the epic *Kill Bill* (Vol. 1 & 2), the historical and revisionist *Inglourious Basterds*, and the multi-award-winning Westerns *Django Unchained* and *Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood*. Tarantino has redefined postmodern cinema with his unique vision and his ability to blend genres and cultural references.
