Ricky Nelson
Ricky Nelson, celebrated American actor and musician, is remembered for both his musical and acting careers. While he is primarily known as a rock and roll teen idol, his acting career took off thanks to the popularity he gained in the TV series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet."
His most iconic film role is undoubtedly that of Colorado Ryan, the young gunslinger, in Howard Hawks' classic western "Rio Bravo" (1959), alongside John Wayne and Dean Martin. In his films, Nelson often embodied the type of charming, self-assured young man, sometimes with an aura of youthful rebellion, but always honest and loyal. Among his other notable films are "The Wackiest Ship in the Army" (1960) and "Love and Kisses" (1965). Many of his roles incorporated his musical talents, allowing him to perform on-screen as well.
