Ron Howard

Ron Howard, born Ronald William Howard, is an American actor and director. His film acting career is closely linked to the role of Steve Bolander in George Lucas's classic *American Graffiti* (1973).

Already known for television roles such as Opie Taylor in *The Andy Griffith Show* and Richie Cunningham in *Happy Days*, in films he often portrayed young, honest, and genuine characters, the prototype of the "all-American good guy." His reassuring presence and natural acting made him a familiar face. Other notable appearances include *The Shootist* (1976), alongside John Wayne, and *Grand Theft Auto* (1977), his directorial debut. Over time, Howard shifted his focus to directing, becoming one of Hollywood's most esteemed directors.
