Rosa Valetti
**Rosa Valetti (1878-1937)** was a prominent German actress of silent and early sound cinema, an emblematic figure of Weimar cinema.
Known for her roles as strong, mature women, often cynical or with a tumultuous past, Valetti commanded an imposing screen presence and intense expressiveness, characteristics also forged by her experience in cabaret.
Among her most celebrated films are masterpieces like **The Blue Angel** (1930), where she played the stubborn owner of the "Blue Mouse" club, alongside Marlene Dietrich. She was also memorable in G.W. Pabst's **Pandora's Box** (1929) and in the role of Mrs. Peachum in **The Threepenny Opera** (1931), also by Pabst.
Her ability to embody complex and often tragic characters made her one of the most acclaimed character actresses of her era.
