Rüdiger Vogler
**Rüdiger Vogler** (born in 1942) is a German actor, celebrated for his prolific collaboration with director Wim Wenders, who made him an iconic figure of the New German Cinema of the 1970s.
He is primarily known for playing central roles in Wenders' so-called "road movie trilogy": *Alice in den Städten* (Alice in the Cities, 1974), *Falsche Bewegung* (False Movement, 1975), and *Im Lauf der Zeit* (In the Course of Time, 1976). He also starred in other seminal Wenders films such as *Der amerikanische Freund* (The American Friend, 1977) and *Der Zustand der Dinge* (The State of Things, 1982).
Vogler's acting style is characterized by an introspective and melancholic presence. He often portrayed intellectual, yet disillusioned characters, searching for identity or a sense of belonging, often as lonely travelers or detached observers of the surrounding world. His filmography also includes works with other European and international directors.
