**Sue Bernard** (born in 1940) is an American actress best known for her appearances in films directed by Russ Meyer.

She achieved iconic status by playing Varla in *Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!* (1965), her most celebrated role. In this action/exploitation cult film, Bernard embodies the charismatic and lethal leader of a trio of criminal go-go dancers, a role that helped define her image as a strong and dangerous woman, a symbol of the 1960s counterculture.
