**Vince Edwards** (born Vincent Edward Zoino; New York, 1928 – Los Angeles, 1996) was an American actor and director, famous for his intense stage presence in both film and television.

His film career took off with roles playing complex and often tormented characters. He distinguished himself in important film noir movies such as Stanley Kubrick's The Killing (1956), where he played an enigmatic criminal, and particularly in Murder by Contract (1958), a cult movie in which he played a cold-blooded hit man.

Edwards consolidated his image as a “tough” but vulnerable man in significant films such as the war drama *The Victors* (1963) and the action film *Ice Station Zebra* (1968), often playing complex characters and antiheroes. Although he became famous to the general public with the TV series *Ben Casey*, his presence on the big screen was characterized by a dark charisma and remarkable dramatic intensity, making him a recognizable face of action and noir cinema in the 1950s and 1960s.
