**Virginia Mayo** (Saint Louis, August 18, 1920 – Thousand Oaks, January 17, 2005) was an American actress and dancer. Celebrated for her beauty and stage presence, she began her career as a dancer on Broadway. She rose to prominence in Hollywood in the 1940s and 1950s, becoming one of the most sought-after "platinum blondes."
