Willi Burger
**Willi Burger (1927–1983)** was a German actor, primarily known for his prolific film career in the 1960s and 1970s. He established himself as one of the recurring faces of the popular German *Krimi* films of the era, particularly the cinematic adaptations of Edgar Wallace novels.
His style was often characterized by an imposing presence and a stern expression, which made him ideal for roles as henchmen, ambiguous characters, or authoritative figures, often on the fringes of the law. He rarely played lead roles, but his reliability and his ability to embody menacing figures made him an essential element in numerous thrillers.
Among his most important films are *Der Frosch mit der Maske* (The Fellowship of the Frog, 1959), *Das indische Tuch* (The Indian Scarf, 1963), and *Der Zinker* (The Squeaker, 1963). Burger contributed significantly to the tense and mysterious atmosphere of these crime thrillers, becoming a familiar face for fans of the genre.
