**Ágnes Hranitzky** (born in 1945) is a Hungarian director and editor, famous for her long and close collaboration with director Béla Tarr. She started out as his editor and went on to become co-director on many of his films.

Her contribution is crucial to the development of Tarr's distinctive style, characterized by long, hypnotic shots, a contemplative rhythm, and often dark and philosophical atmospheres, frequently in black and white. Among the most important films she has contributed to are *Sátántangó* (1994), *Werckmeister Harmonies* (2000), *The Man from London* (2007), and *The Turin Horse* (2011). His role, which goes beyond mere editing, has profoundly influenced the narrative and visual structure of the films, leading him to co-direct.
