**George Miller** (Brisbane, 1945) is an Australian director, screenwriter, and producer. He is internationally known for redefining action cinema with the post-apocalyptic *Mad Max* saga, which began with *Mad Max* (1979) and continued with *Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior* (1981) and the acclaimed masterpiece *Mad Max: Fury Road* (2015).
