
Ildikó Enyedi
**Ildikó Enyedi** (Budapest, 1955) is a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. Known for her poetic and introspective cinema, she gained international recognition from her debut, *Az én XX. századom* (My 20th Century, 1989), which won the Caméra d'Or at Cannes.
Her masterpiece, *Testről és lélekről* (On Body and Soul, 2017), earned her the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Enyedi explores themes such as human connection, solitude, and the search for meaning, often through surreal or dreamlike narratives. Her distinctive style is characterized by profound sensibility, meticulous attention to the characters' psychological details, and evocative visual language.
