Magnus von Horn (born 1983) is a Polish-Swedish director and screenwriter. Trained at the prestigious National Film School in Łódź, Poland, he gained recognition with his debut, *Efterskalv* (The Here After, 2015), an intense drama about a young man's integration after prison.

His film *Sweat* (2020) established him as a star, exploring the loneliness and pressure in the world of a fitness influencer. His works are characterized by a realistic approach and a deep psychological analysis of his characters, often grappling with moral dilemmas, isolation, and the complex consequences of their actions. His latest film, *Flickan med nålen* (The Girl with the Needle, 2024), presented at Cannes, marks a stylistic departure while maintaining his unmistakable focus on the complexity of the human condition.
