
Milos Forman
**Miloš Forman (1932-2018)**, a Czech-American director, was a key figure of the Czechoslovak New Wave. He distinguished himself with works that explored everyday life and human flaws, such as *Loves of a Blonde* (1965) and *The Firemen's Ball* (1967).
After the Soviet invasion of 1968, he moved to the United States, where he directed his most celebrated masterpieces: *One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest* (1975) and *Amadeus* (1984), both awarded the Oscar for Best Director and Best Picture. Other important films include the musical *Hair* (1979), *Ragtime* (1981), *The People vs. Larry Flynt* (1996), and *Man on the Moon* (1999).
His style is characterized by a profound exploration of the human condition, often focusing on marginalized or rebellious characters who confront institutions and social norms, with a realistic and sometimes satirical approach.
