Vincent Paronnaud
Vincent Paronnaud (known as Winshluss) is a French director, comic artist, and illustrator, whose cinematic career is inextricably linked to animation. He is universally recognized for co-directing, alongside Marjane Satrapi, the critically acclaimed animated film *Persepolis* (2007).
An adaptation of Satrapi's graphic novel of the same name, the work garnered numerous accolades, including an Academy Award nomination and the Jury Prize at Cannes, defining his profile on the international stage. His style is characterized by dark humor, social satire, and a visually distinctive aesthetic, often grotesque yet evocative. He later solo-directed the animated feature film *Avril et le monde truqué* (April and the Extraordinary World, 2015), solidifying his authorial imprint in animated cinema with complex and visually rich storytelling.
