
Darsheel Safary
Darsheel Safary, born in Mumbai on March 9, 1997, is an Indian actor. He achieved international fame at the age of ten with his debut role in the 2007 film "Taare Zameen Par" (Like Stars on Earth), directed and produced by Aamir Khan. His acclaimed performance as Ishaan Awasthi, an eight-year-old boy with dyslexia, earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor, making him the youngest recipient, and a nomination for Best Actor in the main category. He subsequently continued his career, starring in films such as "Bumm Bumm Bole" (2010) and "Zokkomon" (2011), as well as portraying the young Saleem Sinai in Deepa Mehta's film adaptation of "Midnight's Children" (2012). After a hiatus to focus on his studies, he returned to acting as an adult, exploring theater and participating in short films and web series, thus continuing his career in the entertainment industry.
