George Winslow

George "Foghorn" Winslow, the stage name of George Wentzlaff, was an American child actor who became famous in the 1950s for his deep, raspy voice, which was unusual for his age. His film career, although brief, saw him act alongside major Hollywood stars. He is best known for his role as the wealthy and seraphic Henry Spofford III in *Gentlemen Prefer Blondes* (1953), where he interacts with Marilyn Monroe, and for his appearance in *Monkey Business* (1952) with Cary Grant and Ginger Rogers. He also appeared in films such as *Mister Scoutmaster* (1953) and *Artists and Models* (1955), alongside Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. His career ended at the end of the decade when he chose to retire from acting. Although he did not receive any major competitive awards, his greatest recognition lies in the popularity he gained through his deadpan comedy and unmistakable voice, which earned him the nickname "Foghorn" and made him one of the most memorable child figures in American cinema of his time.
