Her most iconic and universally recognized role is that of Gretl von Trapp, the youngest child of the von Trapp family, in the celebrated musical film *The Sound of Music* (1965), directed by Robert Wise. Prior to this worldwide success, she had already acted alongside prominent actors in films such as *The Thrill of It All* (1963) with Doris Day and *Good Neighbor Sam* (1964) with Jack Lemmon. After her childhood years, her activity in the entertainment industry diminished significantly. She attended the University of Southern California, graduating with a degree in humanities.
