
Tanay Chheda
Tanay Hemant Chheda, born on June 27, 1996, in Mumbai, is an Indian actor primarily known for his roles as a child actor in internationally acclaimed productions. He gained his first significant recognition for his portrayal of Rajan Damodaran in the 2007 film *Taare Zameen Par* (Like Stars on Earth), for which he received a Young Artist Award nomination. His global fame surged the following year with the role of the young Jamal Malik in Danny Boyle's eight-time Academy Award-winning film *Slumdog Millionaire*. For this performance, he shared the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture with the ensemble cast and earned a nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance at the Black Reel Awards. His other notable works include playing the younger version of the protagonist in *My Name Is Khan* (2010), solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising young Indian actors of his time.
