Valerie Chow (Zhou Jialing), born in Hong Kong on December 16, 1970, is a former Hong Kong actress and model, primarily active in the 1990s. After participating in the Miss Hong Kong pageant, she began her film career, achieving international recognition for her role as the flight attendant in Wong Kar-wai's film *Chungking Express* (1994). For this performance, she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the most significant recognition of her career. Her filmography includes other notable works such as Tsui Hark's wuxia film *The Blade* (1995) and the action film *Meltdown* (1995), alongside Jet Li. After acting in about twenty films, she retired from acting at the end of the decade to start a career in public relations and fashion, becoming an executive for the luxury brand IWC Schaffhausen.
