
Valérie Lagrange
Valérie Lagrange, the stage name of Danielle Charaudeau (Paris, February 25, 1942), is a French actress, singer, and writer. She made her film debut in the late 1950s, establishing herself as a leading figure of the French New Wave and auteur cinema. Her acting career is marked by collaborations with internationally renowned directors, including Claude Lelouch for the iconic film *Un homme et une femme* (1966) and *Le Bon et les Méchants* (1976), and Jean-Luc Godard in *Week-end* (1967). In parallel, starting in the 1960s, she developed a musical career as a singer-songwriter, with her work spanning folk, rock, and protest songs. She has collaborated with artists such as Serge Gainsbourg and, more recently, Benjamin Biolay, releasing influential albums such as *Au cœur de l'amour* (1981). She has also written an autobiography. For her significant contribution to French culture, she was awarded the title of Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
