Vaughn Taylor
Vaughn Taylor (February 22, 1910 – April 30, 1983) was an American character actor whose prolific career spanned over three decades across radio, film, and television. He is primarily remembered for his role as George Lowery, Marion Crane's boss, in Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller *Psycho* (1960). His filmography also includes appearances in notable films such as *Jailhouse Rock* (1957), alongside Elvis Presley, and *Cat on a Hot Tin Roof* (1958). However, it was in television that Taylor achieved his greatest visibility, appearing as a guest star in countless popular series of the 1950s and '60s, including *Perry Mason*, *The Twilight Zone*, and *Alfred Hitchcock Presents*. Specializing in roles as businessmen, lawyers, or authority figures, although he did not receive major individual awards, his constant presence made him one of the most recognizable and sought-after faces of his time in the American television and film landscape.
