Alejandro Jodorowsky
**Alejandro Jodorowsky** (born 1929) is a Chilean-French multidisciplinary figure, primarily known as a filmmaker, screenwriter, comic book writer, and mystic. Though not an actor in the traditional sense, he has often played key roles in his own films, making them extensions of his complex artistic vision.
Among his most iconic performances are that of the anti-hero protagonist in **El Topo** (1970), an allegorical and surreal Western, and the enigmatic Alchemist in **La Montaña Sagrada** (1973), where he embodies a spiritual guide. In his more recent and autobiographical films, such as **La Danza de la Realidad** (2013) and **Poesía sin fin** (2016), he has played versions of himself or paternal/mentor figures.
His roles are consistently imbued with symbolism, allegory, and spirituality, reflecting his unique and transgressive universe.
