Anne Wiazemsky (1947 – 2017) was a French actress and writer, an emblematic figure of the Nouvelle Vague. Her cinematic debut was in an unforgettable role in Robert Bresson's masterpiece, *Au Hasard Balthazar* (1966), where she embodied an enigmatic purity and intense fragility.

She then became the muse and wife of Jean-Luc Godard, starring in key films such as *La Chinoise* (1967), which established her as an iconic face of the French May '68, and *Week-end* (1967). Her career saw her collaborate with other great European directors, including Pier Paolo Pasolini in *Teorema* (1968) and Marco Ferreri in *Dillinger è morto* (1969).

Wiazemsky was known for her penetrating gaze and her ability to portray complex characters, often youthful, intellectual, and melancholic, symbolizing a generation in turmoil. She subsequently dedicated herself primarily to writing.
